| Cathy
Ostmeyer |
| |
Cathy Ostmeyer has
taught elementary school in Kansas and Texas, served as an assistant
principal in Garland and a principal in Lancaster. She oversaw special
programs in Forney and is currently the Federal Programs/Grant Manager
at the Garland Independent School District in Garland, TX, where her
duties include overseeing a number of grant programs and managing over
$9 million worth of budgets within the Special Programs department.
Cathy is an Adjunct
Professor for Texas A&M University-Commerce where she has taught
Master's level special programs courses and a Master's level research
course. In addition, she has conducted over 12 kinds of training,
including a number of grant writing workshops.
Cathy earned her
B.S. in Elementary Education at North Texas State University, her M.S.
- Educational Administration - Elementary from Fort Hays State
University in Kansas, and her Ed.D. - Educational Administration from
Texas A&M Commerce. In addition to holding Texas State Board of
Educator Certifications in English (Grades 1-8),
Elementary-Self-Contained (Grades 1-8), Mid-Management Certificate,
and Superintendent Certificate, Cathy is a Certified Grant Writer,
American Grant Writers Association. |

| Donna
Fernandez |
| |
Donna is the owner of SchoolGrants.org, through which she works with
public schools, charter schools, and nonprofit organizations
throughout the U.S. as a consultant. She publishes the
SchoolGrants Biweekly Newsletter, a popular resource among grant
seekers all across the nation, and wrote the
SchoolGrants Let's Write a Grant interactive CD.
In addition to her work with
SchoolGrants, Donna works as the Grants Acquisition and Management
Specialist at the Garland Independent School District. She has also
worked in the Grants Acquisition Department for the Dallas Independent
School District and as the Director of Government Resources at Texans
Can!, a large charter school operator.
Donna has raised and managed over $17
million in private, state, and federal grants since 2002. As a
consultant, she has presented workshops for the West Virginia
Department of Education, Georgia Regional Education Service Agency,
Performance Institute, BellSouth, Institute for Student Achievement,
and Sandersville Technical College.
Donna has a BA in Accounting from the
University of Texas at Arlington. |
